I've avoided spinning up a new Ubuntu host on 16 or 17 as that is more effort than it's worth.Īt this stage i'm going to have the leave the server on windows until i find an issue or Plex identifies an issue on their side. I gave up lastnight and spun the Plex server up on my windows host - 0 issues, videos play back fine. Impacting all browser types (running window 10), tested on two clientsĭoes not appear to impact native apps as bad Tried a different docker repo (plexinc/pms-docker/) + linuxserver/plexĮnabled Debug logs, cannot see anything obvious Re-deployed plex completely (removed the docker image and data) Played around with Plex Transcode + Direct play settings I've run unto an issue where almost all media on Plex will play for ~2 minutes and then just hang in a buffering state, i've tried everything i can think of and im out of ideas

Snap is already installed and ready to go. I migrated all the docker containers/data across. If you’re running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) or later, including Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa), you don’t need to do anything. I recently rebuilt my server using Ubuntu 18 as my base. I've been running Plex server in a docker container for over a year now.
